My first REAL yarn shop. April 15, 2006
I only started knitting a few years ago. My first experience with a “real” yarn shop was amazing. The shop was gorgeous inside and out. It was a few short blocks from my home in downtown Rochester, Michigan. I have since moved to Texas to be closer to family and away from the cold winters. But I still like to visit their web site and recieve their newsletters. If I am ever not able to find a fiber that I need, I make sure to give Skeins on Main a call and see if they have what I need.
Yarn Barn in San Antonio TX is the only yarn shop that I have had the chance to visit since my move from Michigan to Texas, last July. Here is an article featuring the Yarn Barn. It was written in March of 2000 but is an enjoyable article.
