Knitty: Summer 2006
Sock monkeys. You either love ‘em or hate ‘em. I used to be part of the latter group, but a few years ago I had the opportunity to make about two dozen of them for a project. Since then, I’ve become slightly obsessed with sock monkeys.
This is my favorite pattern in the Summer 06 issue of Knitty.
Have not been able to find supplier of Idena Twins #312 Grey for Sock Monkey Hat (3 skeins) shown in Knitty Summer 2006. Am hoping you will be able to help after having knit oodles of these hats yourself. A special granddaughter saw the pattern and decided that I should knit up this sock monkey, but believe that the yarn described would be necessary to have hat resemble photo. Thanks for taking time to reply and to assist old granny and Santa to bring pleasure to my dear granddaughter.
