I was looking for the name of the yarn shop in Rochester Michigan where I used to spend many wonderful Saturday mornings knitting with friends and sharing "stories" ;-). I came across your post and thought how ironic that someone had the same story as I do. I also live in Texas now, and although I love living here, it's sad that knitting isn't as popular as it is in Michigan. The only knitting group here in Eastern Texas is in Tyler, and they meet during the week when I can't attend (I'm a business woman).....

This is a great organization and making the squares is a good way to practice knitting.
